Millennium Inorganic Chemicals has received a patent for a method for producing a low volatile pigmentary base. It is comprised of oxidizing titanium tetrachloride and aluminum chloride to form an oxidizer discharge comprising co-oxidized alumina and titanium dioxide; and separating and removing a portion of the co-oxidized to cause a reduction in the ratio of co-oxidized alumina to titanium dioxide, resulting in a titanium dioxide slurry.
